Tests and questionnaires
Creating assessment tests and tools to improve and contribute to the advancement of scientific research, represents a nuclear object to Society. Hundreds of euros are invested by the organisation to support psycho-technical and psychometric tests every year.
The path of the scientific parapsychology in Spain, as well as other border character disciplines, has not promote the creation of specialized instruments in assessing behavioural anomalies, without relying on basic clinical standard or falling into the excessive daily life psychopathologization. The Sociedad Universitaria tries to develop and adapt assessment resources, willing to improve the border investigations quality. Currently, high standing resources are being adapted to investigate abnormalities like: United States Inventory AEI, the Australian scale ASGS-Q, the RTS scale and finally, the MMSI-2.
Our tools, tests and materials are not on sale; the Sociedad Universitaria does not have any tests edition revenue. Both tests and research materials produced by Society are only available for those professionals officially associated with the institution.
As an association, we strive to avoid the scientific knowledge commercialization, as well as its elitism and secrecy. However, we are aware of the copyright all scientific work presents, and based on its respect and recognition, the access to such knowledge cannot be public or indiscriminate.
International classification of tests (American Psychological Association, APA):
According to the current use of tests regulation suggested by the APA (American Psychological Association), these are classified into three different categories according to their level of complexity and management.
A type: open access to all users.
B type: restricted access to users endorsed by extensive experience in the field (technical applicators, researchers, university students, etc). The tests in this category are available to all official members of the Society.
C type: restricted access to university mental health professionals (psychiatrists, psychologist, etc.). The tests in this category are just available for authorised members of the Society.
